This years elections are a critical opportunity to push for justice. Please ensure every family member & friend has registered to vote.
Why should I vote?
The Prophet (S) said, “Whosoever of you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand. If he cannot, then with his tongue, and if he cannot, then with his heart — and that is the weakest of faith" [Muslim]. Voting, without a doubt, is one of the primary means through which we can improve our society and inhibit injustice from continuing to occur.
Local elections are particularly sensitive to voter turnout. Frequently, candidates win and ballot measures pass by a marginal difference.
Every ballot that we cast, even empty ones, increases our presence on the voter roll. Politicians review voter rolls to understand demographics and determine policy.
